Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add a Super 8 session to any photo session?
Please. You won’t regret it. It can sometimes extend a regular session by 30 minutes but you’ll hardly notice.
Do you travel?
Of course. To be fully transparent, travel fees usually apply unless I have more than one session in the same location. In that case, I will waive travel fees.
Do you help me find the perfect location?
I can help you flesh out your ideas or you can borrow some of my ideas. I have lots of locations I love as well as a bucket list of cool spots if you’re up for an adventure.
IDK what to wear. What do I wear?
Let me take the pressure off… you don’t need to buy all new outfits and look
”perfect.” The perfect thing to wear is something you feel good in and are comfortable in! If you prefer to make clothing a big part of your session that is also great. I am not a stylist but I can give input.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. There is a non-refundable retainer to hold your date and the rest of your payment is due the day of your session. I’m chill, flexible and transparent. If you need to make other arrangements just let me know I never make money talk weird. Promise.
Why don’t you have set packages for weddings?
To put it simply, it’s YOUR day and my only job is to give you exactly what you want and one package doesn't fit all. I prefer to put together something that actually fits your needs and your budget.
Do you offer birth photography?
I offer a limited number of birth photography sessions per year. Time is of the essence so reach out as soon as you find out.
Isn’t a birth session a little … unpredictable?
Yes, and no. I know how important this is for your family so I put myself “on call” around 37 weeks. When the time comes, I just ask that someone keeps me updated as things progress. It’s best to notify me at the earliest signs of labor so I have as much notice as possible to get there and start documenting the big debut! I like to get shots of the labor, birth space, skin-to-skin, first look, baby’s weigh-in, etc. If for some reason I can’t be there, I have trusted professional associates available as a backup. But don’t worry, I would still be doing all the editing!
Do you offer newborn photography?
I do! This is considered a lifestyle session. The best time for newborn photos is typically when the baby is between 1-5 weeks old, and I prefer to do this in-home! I’ll send out detailed prep instructions and expectations for how the session will go about a week beforehand.
